Philadelphia Water Ice Factory (PWIF), owned
by Khadijah Bronson, began its operation in
Washington DC in April 2004. Located on the H
Street, NE corridor, PWIF brought to Washington a
touch of Philadelphia. Ms. Bronson, a native
Philadelphian, replicated the popular water ice
parlors that can be commonly found throughout
Philadelphia neighborhoods. As the only full-time
operation serving water ice in the District, PWIF
has experienced tremendous success. The
flavored frozen treat was well received by both
residential and business neighbors.
In September 2007 , we have opened a New
Location on Georgia Ave across from Howard
University . We have also added to our menu at
both locations "The original Philadelphia
Cheesesteak " with the infamous Amoroso Rolls.
